My son, Logan, has shown some interest in collecting cards, so I figured I'd try to get him started. This page highlights his want lists. Any condition is fine for him, especially on older cards. Right now he's most fascinated with the 1980's Donruss puzzle piece inserts and the 1986 & 1988 Sportflics cards.
Logan doesn't have favorite players or teams yet, but I would say any player who has a proven track record of being a good role model may be of interest. I really don't want him to latch onto a player who turns out to have problems with steroids/cheating, poor sportsmanship/attitude, etc. only to have his vision of his role model to be destroyed. My favorite player growing up was Darryl Strawberry and I don't want Logan to have that happen to him (even though it appears Darryl has truly turned his life around and is putting it to good use now).
Logan likes the idea of opening packs, so he'd appreciate any 1980s-1990s junk wax packs.
He may also like:
* 1933 Goudey Indian Gum cards * Star Wars cards * Super Hero cards (Batman, X-Men, Spider Man, etc.) * Desert Storm cards * Cards with space, airplanes, helicopters, tanks, rockets/missiles, boats, etc. * Cards with animals especially bugs, dinosaurs, sharks, and other wild creatures
* = trade pending
