I was in Rancho Bernardo, CA recently for work. During the trip I had to go north to Victorville for a rocket motor test. On my way, I stopped by the Honey Hole card shop in Escondido, CA. The Honey Hole was well organized with some various $1 and up boxes of all the major sports. They also had a large selection of unopened wax and a ton of singles on display. Their vintage selection filled one display case. I ended up getting a 2020 Topps Finest Flashbacks Luis Robert rookie card, a 1984 Nestle Darryl Strawberry rookie card, and a 1958 Topps Ted Williams All-Star (#485) in SGC 4.5. That was only my second Ted Williams card I think, so I was quite happy with finding a nice, affordable vintage card like that at the shop. Unfortunately, they had very little (I think only 1) pre-war vintage card. They did have a decent, but not great, selection of 1950s-1960s star cards ... mostly graded. All-in-all it was worth the visit to this card shop and I plan to go back the next time I have to go to the San Diego area for work (which will be in 2 weeks!).
